an evening of astrology at the moët hennessy private library

Astrology | Community | Adornments

At the invitation of Core Collective (@core.collective.nyc), Authorne recently co-hosted an intimate evening at the Moët Hennessy Private Library. Guests gathered for a preview of the brand’s forthcoming Astrology Collection and a group astrology reading led by Ophira Edut of The AstroTwins (@astrotwins)— an evening of conversation, astrology, and jewelry.

The highlight of the evening was a group reading led by ELLE Magazine’s resident astrologer, Ophira Edut of The AstroTwins. In an engaging and lighthearted session, Ophira shared insights and predictions for the year ahead, guiding guests through the energy shaping 2026 and what it may mean for each sign.

Guests were also given a first look at Authorne’s forthcoming Astrology Pendant collection, to be introduced later this year. The series features twelve sculptural medallions, each representing a sign of the zodiac. The finished pieces were displayed alongside the original studio sketches, offering a glimpse into the creative process behind the collection.

Throughout the evening, guests tried on pieces from the Mother Chain system and explored the different ways the jewelry could be worn. Many spent time speaking with founder Rachel Bu about the ideas behind the brand, discussing the symbolism woven into the designs and the personal meanings that jewelry can carry.

A rare bottle from Hennessy’s Zodiac Collection — The Horse Edition, one of only fifty in existence worldwide — was also displayed within the library, echoing the themes of the evening.

The gathering unfolded in an easy rhythm, with guests moving between readings, conversation, and moments spent studying the jewelry and sketches throughout the space.

With thanks to the guests, partners, and collaborators who made the evening possible. Special thanks to NWS (@flower_art_nyc) for the ikebana arrangements and to NDC Mercato (@ndc_mercato) for the sweet confections served during the gathering.
